Max! Glad you go the buzz. That’s my mid-80′s Takamine. It’s a Japanese made acoustic dreadnought with no cutaway (!). It has a Barcus-Berry ‘In-Sider’, but, for this recording it’s not plugged in. It’s very quiet because I’m sitting behind the computer, which is doing audio and video capture by means of the iSight and built-in mic. Fancy Elixir strings (not too old either) and no picks.
Glad to hear the Takamine is still going strong. By the way, I sort of lied earlier (in the other comments thread) when I said that I needed to get an acoustic. I still have the old Yamaha – you know, the one with the nail hole in it? And the three-inch high action? The one I almost gave you, Hammer? It lives.
Sort of like a zombie acoustic – but you’d have a hard time getting quality Japanese craftsmanship now for whatever that Yamaha set you back. The Takamine was in the neighborhood of $300-$325. Of course, that was *gasp* over twenty years ago.
Holy shit! Nice one! You even got a thunder clap in there. What was the rig you were using?

Great sound, what kind of guitar is that?
