Freshly Tuned Piano

Not quite what I was expecting. Jordan Kitts offers a “health plan” for pianos: $464 for four tunings. Yeesh. Here’s what they say in their literature:
Improper or irregular maintenance can cause problems that will become progressively worse, causing your piano to develop an unpleasant tone and an unresponsive touch even if it sounds in tune.
Yeesh.

40 Percent

A new Gallup poll finds that 40% of Americans believe God created humans in their present form about 10,000 years ago, while 38% believe God guided a process by which humans developed over millions of years from less advanced life forms. Just 16% believe that humans developed over millions of years, without God’s involvement.
