Tahoe

I put three-quarters of a tank of gas in a Chevy Tahoe this morning. $75.

Dreaming of Revenge

Kaki King’s “Dreaming of Revenge” has been in heavy rotation on my iPod this week. Intense, particularly the tune “Can Anyone Who Has Heard This Music Really Be a Bad Person?”  I owe MPomy one for the heads up on this artist.

Bottomless

The Washington Post’s Dr. Gridlock:

LaHood notes that the federal government has $900 million invested in the project [of building a Metro line to Dulles Airport]. He said he wants a solution that “respects the idea that we don’t have a bottomless pit of money.”

Well, maybe we don’t have a bottomless pit of money in this particular instance. Ah, but elsewhere there’s one such pit to be found. Another item I saw in the Washington Post:

The Obama administration has proposed a $553 billion budget for the Pentagon next year, excluding the cost of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Apogee Jam

I haven’t used GarageBand on the iPad since my unfortunate first encounters with the app. But it looks like the Apogee Jam might make all the difference.

Natural Science: One Riff Down, 3,000 to Go

The “Natural Science” quest is underway, although we’re a long way from Mt. Doom. I’ve learned one lick.

Toyota's new Prius V Hybrid car

So long as a greyhound fits in the back. GreenCarReports.com:

So let’s get one thing straight: The 2012 Toyota Prius V is a station wagon. It’s not a minivan (no sliding doors, no third row) and it’s certainly not a sport utility vehicle or crossover (no all-wheel-drive, no jacked-up ride height).
